At first, the rat only sees a small 5×5 grid, but its view can expand as the game goes on, depending on what’s in sight. There are four types of symbols, and they can level up. At their lowest level, each symbol is worth a small amount, but they can become more valuable as they level up. The rat collects symbols that are next to it, either horizontally or vertically.

If it gathers a bunch of the same colored symbols, it might change direction. And if it comes across symbols that don’t match its vehicle’s color, it might switch things up, too. Plus, besides symbols, the rat can snag coins that multiply the bet.

The game starts with a random vehicle and a set amount of fuel. Every move the rat makes uses up fuel, but grabbing symbols or interacting with certain objects gives it more fuel.

When the fuel tank hits max, the rat gets a boost where it can use as much fuel as it wants until the next coin grab – this boost is called the Nitro Fuel Boost. But when the fuel runs out, and there’s nothing left to collect, or no more bonuses to grab, the game’s over.
